Penn State Vs. No. 15 Wisconsin: Badgers Blow Lead, But Hold On For 10-Point Win

The Wisconsin Badgers were up as many as 20 points in the second half, but a 16-1 run by the Penn State Nittany Lions made made things interesting late. The Badgers shot extremely well from beyond the arc in the first half, but hit a customary cold patch during Penn State’s run. Jared Berggren had eight points in the final 5:35 to end the funk, leading Wisconsin to a 65-55 victory. The 6-10 center was deadly from beyond the arc, going 3-for-3 on the day to finish up with 13 points. Josh Gasser also had a nice night shooting, going 3-for-5 from long distance to lead Wisconsin with 15 points. For the night the Badgers were 11-for-22 from 3-point range, besting their 42.6 percent shooting percentage from the field. The uncharacteristically strong shooting night for Wisconsin was nearly undone by Nittany Lions point guard Tim Frazier , who finished up with 20 points, eight of them coming during Penn State’s big run. A lack of scoring depth plagued Penn State as it has all season, however, with only Jermaine Marshall managing to reach double digits aside from Frazier.
